GACW Radio Countries list

The present is a compilation of information of diverse local and DX sources. This list has the intention to offer a shared in common service between the fans of the GACW and the entire world.

This is a tool of permanent consultation, that allows the DX operators to identify accurately, the stations of the different countries recognized by the ARRL for DXCC, DX Century Club, the only differences that you will be able to observe, are those in which our country has diferences of sovereignty and although it task is not the forum to dissolve them, we are convinced that this is the correct form to present/display them.

For these cases of the islands of the South Atlantic, an explanatory picture of the GACW exists at the end of the present that includes the Antarctica region.

By the tightened thing of the synthesis there are including greater details of the different reasons and criteria that have been used through the years to determine when an extension of territory is accepted like a radio country and when no, or under which circumstances take place new income in the list of areas with certain characteristics within another country. Despite it, it is interesting to emphasize some basic concepts of the criteria used for the election of a radius country in the present list of the DXCC, that is not another thing that the result of a constant evolution from 1945.

• b - Other organizations that are not totally independent can be recognized like separated for the DXCC. Ej. Associated Territories, Protectorates, Dependencies, States, etc., etc.
• c - Separation by water, when one is an island or group of islands q ue is part of a country of the DXCC because of government in the following cases: when they are in favor separated of a minimum of 350 km of waters opened of the continent or another island, second of a chain of islands it will have to be in favor separated at least of other 350 km of waters opened of first.
• d - an island to a natural earth area is considered totally surrounded by water and whose minimum surface of 100 m.s remains all along on the level of waters. The rocks or reefs that cannot support human life will be considered like elegibles.
• e - Separation by another country of the DXCC, when country composed of two continental areas or continental and other insular or two insulares, is separated by a minimum of 350 kilometers of another country of the DXCC, are considered two nations different.
• f - they will not be elegibles for the DXCC, the areas that lack government or they do not have a territorial reclamation, the demilitarized zones, neutral, or of intergovernmental damping, embassies, consulates, monuments, organizations, etc.

Also criteria exist to determine that when modifying itself some of these points or others, that we do not reproduce by its extension, a zone lets compute itself valued, and as they are the rules to follow and necessary documents for the accreditation of a new country or an operation a place noninhabited, etc.
