El Club Uruguayo de DX se encuentra dedicado al DXismo, es decir a la escucha de estaciones remotas o dificiles de escuchar. Los amantes del DXismo, sintonizan señales de estaciones de radio, que se encuentran a grandes distancias, o dificiles de escuchar, o que no se escuchan habitualmente o que tengan alguna carácteristica en especial. Entre otras estaciones los DXistas, también suelen sintonizar las bandas de aficionados y en algunos países es el paso previo a la primera licencia de aficionado.

River Plate Delta Radio Club

The suburb of Tigre is at the junction of the Rio Lujan and Rio Parana, and is a popular getaway for those who have weekend houses on The Delta or those who come to enjoy the many other activities Tigre has to offer. The Delta is a 200 km. maze of waterways of which the main channel is the Rio Parana de las Palmas. To explore The Delta it is necessary to take one of the launches from the Estación Fluvial to any one of the riverside docks or hire a water taxi to take you to a specified destination. If you choose one of the launches, treat it as you would a bus and flag it down from the dock when you are ready to leave or move on down the river.

An inmigrants country side - Agustín Magaldi was the only one of the so-called "Big Three" tango singers that was born in Argentina. Carlos Gardel was almost certainly born in Toulouse, France, and Ignacio Corsini was born in Catania, Italy. Even so, Magaldi's Argentinean birthplace and birthday are uncertain. Some people say he was born in the town of Casilda, as he was known for some time as "el cantor de Casilda" ("The singer from Casilda") and he spent some time as a child in that town.

Brooklyn (Kings County) was largely a marshland before it was settled in the late 1600s. The Dutch were the first settlers from the old world to colonize thisborough in the 17th century. Although they shared the land with British settlers, the Dutch culture was the dominant one well into the 19th century. When first asked to join New York city as a borough in 1833, Brooklyn refused. Brooklyn, in a close vote, did not decide to become a part of New York City until 1898.

Today, Brooklyn is a borough of many neighborhoods, each with its own strong ethnic flavor. It's very rare to find a New Yorker whose family has been living in America for more than one generation who didn't have an ancestor that lived in Brooklyn at some point in their life.

IU9MM Associazione Radioamatori Marinai Italiani - ARMI

L'associazione Radioamatori "Marinai Italiani" nasce ad Augusta (SR) il 01.01.2001, lo scopo di tale Associazione è quello di raccogliere l'adesione di tutti i Marinai (Ufficiali, Sottufficiali, Marinai) della Marina Militare e/o Marina Mercantile Italiana, uniti da una unica passione il "Mare" e la "Radio".

Questa associazione raccoglie come membri tutti i radioamatori (OM/SWL) che prestano servizio o che abbiano prestato servizio in Marina Militare, o Marittimi iscritti alla Gente di Mare. Anche altri corpi o F.A. che abbiano componente marittima possono far parte dell'A.R.M.I. (Polizia Marittima, G.d.F. del Mare, CC. Marina). Ideologicamente si avvicina all'A.N.M.I. (Associazione Nazionale Marinai d'Italia) che ne appoggia le idee e gli scopi mantenendo vivo la conoscenza e l'uso del Radioantismo in campo marittimo. E' un'associazione NO-PROFIT ed apolitica.

Possono iscriversi all'A.R.M.I. anche gli italiani residenti all'estero che abbiano i requisiti sù menzionati.

El Radio Club Montevideo fue fundado en reunión de camaradería entre radioescuchas y diexistas mantenida el Domingo 14 de Setiembre del 2003 en la Ciudad de Montevideo, República Oriental del Uruguay.

Un diexista practica el Diexismo, palabra que tiene su origen en la sigla DX, originada en el código radio telegráfico Morse, lenguaje madre de las comunicaciones inalámbricas. La Sigla esta compuesta por la letra D que significa distancia, y la letra X que significa el factor desconocido, vale decir distancia desconocida, sigla que pronunciada en idioma inglés suena di-ex, de allí la definición de esta afición como diexismo y de quien la practica diexista.
